I should have taken a photograph, the most ridiculous motorcycle parking that I had the pleasure of refusing to park in was strewn with damp leaves and had a bush growing over it, so parking a bike would have been impossible, and even if possible slippery...
More recently, I went to park at the local supermarket and there were trolleys in the motorcycle parking bays.
It would be great to see some pictures of any other ridiculous motorcycle parking that is out there.. we could do with shaking our heads with a little bit of laughter...

Sheenview, New addition
Sheenview in Kenmare, Co. Kerry have this year installed a bike shelter so that bikes can be stored undercover.
Sheenview have been welcoming bikers for several years now and this new addition to their motorcycle friendly services shows a grand commitment to the enjoyment of their biking guests.

UK: Scarborough
Well, there aren't many more biking days left in the year within the United Kingdom, but the odd clear weekend may be the opportunity for a short break.
Girls.. Rosedene in Scarborough even offer use of hair straightners in their bed and breakfast, so there is no need to look like a windswept scarecrow after a days ride.

2013 Ride down to Brittany, France
Ken and Lesley have been running Mototaranis in Brittany for many years now.
This biker only bed and breakfast is a fantastic place to stay. Very highly rated by other Bike Stay motorcyclists.

Late Availability - South of France
We have some late availability in our holiday cottage in the south of France, Saturday 25 August - Wednesday 29 August (4 nights) and Sunday 9 September - Saturday 15 September (6 nights). The August weekend is when our village, Sonnac sur l'Hers is "en fête" where the tables are set out in the square and everyone enjoys eating, drinking & dancing into the night - so a particularly lovely - & lively time to visit.

New Year, New Touring Adventures...
The time is now upon us to plan our 2012 summer road trips... Last year we worked hard to be able to bring you coverage of additional European countries, such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Turkey, Hungary and even Serbia.
Throughout 2012, We are upgrading our listings with additional information, aimed to help planning your trip a little easier. We are including google maps and touring information, distance charts and links to places of interest. In addition to this, we are including GPS co-ordinates where provided, for ease of use with Motorcycle Sat Nav Systems. We will also be including information on some routes and scenic rides.
This upgrade will continue throughout 2012, with coverage of over 30 countries and in the region of 3000 advertisers we will endeavour to complete this upgrade as soon as possible!
We would like to thank everyone for their continued support for Bike Stay, We are now officially ten years old. From starting out with coverage just in the North of England across Northumberland and Cumbria, we are now taking the world on and helping motorcyclists not only in the UK, but in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and South America plan their motorcycle trips!
