New Year, New Touring Adventures...

The time is now upon us to plan our 2012 summer road trips... Last year we worked hard to be able to bring you coverage of additional European countries, such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Turkey, Hungary and even Serbia.

Throughout 2012, We are upgrading our listings with additional information, aimed to help planning your trip a little easier. We are including google maps and touring information, distance charts and links to places of interest. In addition to this, we are including GPS co-ordinates where provided, for ease of use with Motorcycle Sat Nav Systems. We will also be including information on some routes and scenic rides.

This upgrade will continue throughout 2012, with coverage of over 30 countries and in the region of 3000 advertisers we will endeavour to complete this upgrade as soon as possible!

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support for Bike Stay, We are now officially ten years old. From starting out with coverage just in the North of England across Northumberland and Cumbria, we are now taking the world on and helping motorcyclists not only in the UK, but in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA and South America plan their motorcycle trips!

International Superbiker Trophy

Supermoto Brothers start the 1900 km trip to Belgium for the International Superbiker Trophy.

Anthony and Mat Ford – Dunn, Murcia’s two racing brothers are making final preparations for this weekend’s international supermoto race in Mettet, Belgium. The prestigious event in Belgium is known as the superbiker race and features the very best racers from motocross, road racing and supermoto, from all over the world competing in one fantastic race meeting.

Over 350 supermoto riders will be battling it out for a place in the superbiker final by competing in a number of qualifying heats and last chance races until the 350 become 40. The last 40 riders then line up on the grid for the grand final over 12 laps of the gruelling Mettet race circuit that features both a high speed tarmac race track combined with four dirt sections and a multitude of jumps and bermed corners.

The racing is frantic with the world’s best attempting to win the superbiker trophy and the 4000 Euros cash prize that goes with it.

Anthony Ford-Dunn has his sights set on the top prize but he knows that it will be a very tough job to beat the world’s best riders at this event and he is using the weekend to gauge his performance against others for an assault on the supermoto Grand Prixs in 2012. ‘It will be a great opportunity for me to ride against the world’s best Supermoto riders and learn from their style and technique and hopefully score a good result from racing against them.’ said Anthony when asked about his chances.

The Brothers have been busy testing and preparing their bikes for the event that starts this Friday morning with the Final race on Sunday night. They are both feeling confident after some excellent results in the recent Spanish and European championship events with the www.supermotoland.com team that is sponsored by Advance Moves, the Murcian based International removal company.

We have had notification of some scam emails being sent to accommodation providers. These emails request that you provide a full cost for a stay, dates are specified. Clearly asking to pay by Visa or Mastercard.

Example text is below
Kindly get back to me with the total cost for their stay and advice if you accept visa or master credit cards so i can arrange the payment immediately with my credit card visa or master. Please note that i will like to settle the total cost for the entire stay immediately by credit card so i need the entire stay cost in EURO.

Please note that these emails have NO email address in the To: field of the email.

To be sure that your enquiries are genuine, please follow these guidelines.

1. Check the To: field on your email to ensure that the email was sent directly to you. If this is empty or has a different email address to your own, please take care.
2. Unless changed manually, the Subject field of email enquiries will normally read, "Guest Enquiry via Bike Stay"
3. Unless the email is from an authorised booking agent, please ensure you are dealing with your guests direct.
4. If you have any queries, please email us and we can let you know of the known scammers email addresses.
5. Please be cautious, if the email seems in any way strange!

This scam is not just effecting Bike Stay Accommodation providers, but they are targeting other accommodation sites also.
